Chin Qilich Khan. Independent state of Hyderabad was founded by Nizam al-Mulk (Āṣaf Jāh) or Chin Qilich Khan, who was intermittently a viceroy of the Deccan (peninsular India) under the Mughal emperors from 1713 to 1721. He retained the post again with the title Āṣaf Jāh in 1724. The title of Ashaf Jah was provided by Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah. This time he became virtually independent and founded the Nizam dynasty of Hyderabad.
