Marwar. Jayata and Kumpa were commanders of Maldev, the ruler of Marwar. As a part of war tactics, Shershah spread the rumor that all the commanders of Maldev have joined the army of Sher shah in the battle. To clear their name, Jayata and Kumpa fought bravely against Sher Shah and died in the battle. Sher Shah was very impressed with their valour and said "For a handful of millet, I would have lost the kingdom of India." SULTANATE PERIOD
