B.N.Rau. Jurist B. N. Rau was appointed Constitutional adviser to the Constituent Assembly. B.N. Rau prepared the original draft of the Constitution, which later was scrutinized by Drafting Committee. Drafting committee was set up on 29th August, 1947 under the chairmanship of Dr. B R Ambedkar. The Drafting Committee had seven members namely Alladi Krishna swami Ayyar, N. Gopalaswami, B.R. Ambedkar, K.M Munshi, Mohammad Saadulla, B.L. Mitter and D.P. Khaitan. Later on B.L. Mitter and D.P. Khaitan was replaced by N. Madhav Rau and T.T. Krishnamachari respectively.
