Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. The four northeastern states of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh are jointly under the jurisdiction of the Gauhati High Court. Its other benches have been established at Kohima, Aizawl and Itanagar. It was established on 1 March 1948 as the Assam High Court, which was renamed as the Gauhati High Court in 1971 by the North-Eastern Regions (Reorganization) Act, 1971.
