The memorandum of understanding (MoU) had been signed to connect two rivers between two states (Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh) first time for linkage of Ken and Betwa rivers in 2005. The project lies in Bundelkhand and benefitted drought prone region which spreads across 13 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
