338 and 338A. Article 338 of the Constitution makes provision for appointment of National Commission for Schedule Caste. The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes was constituted on 19th February, 2004, consequent to the amendment of Article 338 of the Constitution and insertion of a new Article 338A by the Constitution (Eighty-Ninth Amendment) Act, 2003.
